Refridgerator-Rator!

The few of you who have been over to our house have probably laughed when you went into the kitchen because you saw this.......

Well I am excited to say that we have FINALLY purchased a fridge and I am so excited! Not only excited to have a normal size fridge, but to be able to eat something other than cereal and peanut butter and jelly sandwhiches. When you have a small fridge like this its hard to find a place to store left overs. There was pretty much room for milk, jam, a few drinks...and that was it.

Here is the fridge we bought. We get it on Thursday....Yipee!

Slumber Party!

All last week I had been so excited for the weekend to come because I got to have my niece Erin over for a slumber party! It was her first night away from home and she did so well. We had put her in our guest bedroom which is right next to our bedroom. Bryan and Camille told me to have a night light for her because she gets scared. The only thing I had was a light that was neon blue. Needless to say she did not like that and instead of comforting her it freaked her out more. We ended up putting her in the living room and turned the porch light on and she fell right asleep. I could not have asked for a more perfect house guest. She behaved so well. My brother and Camille have raised a great kid and I hope I turn out to be great parents like they are. Anyway I love my cute little niece and I can't wait to have her over again. Thanks Bryan and Camille for letting me have her for the night. Below are some pictures I took of our fun weekend.

OH....and while Erin took her afternoon nap I made my first Amish friendship bread! Now a normal person would not be excited about making bread, but I have never done it before so I was pleased with the outcome. It tasted delicous. It may not look all pretty or Martha Stewart like, but I was proud of the outcome with it being my first attempt at it. Thanks Elizabeth for giving me the starter!

Chop Chop!

So after growing my hair out for the past year or so for the wedding I decided it was time for a change.....a drastic one. I asked Billy how he would feel about me cutting my hair and he said he likes it better long. So I thought long and hard about his feelings and decided, oh well I'm chopping it off. I may no longer have a husband after this but at least my hair will look cute....lol. Thanks Elizabeth!

White Trash Fun

Last Saturday Billy and I went with my brother and sis-in-law Camille to the demolition derby! We started this tradition with them last year and let me tell you it is a lot more fun than you think. There is just something about metal smashing into metal. While we were there it started to rain like crazy and we used our blanket to cover our heads and the extremely white trash people in front of us heads as well. See picture above....hilarious! Anyways it was a lot of fun and if anyone would like to join in on our white trash fun you should join us next year!
These girls were the worst singers ever,
but they did warn us that they were.
Watch the flag hit one of the girls in the
face.....hee hee.

Honeymoon...ooo la la!

For our honeymoon we went on a 7 day Carnival cruise to the Mexican Riviera. It was my first time and a cruise and Billy's second. I am definitely a cruise person now. It is the most stress free vacation I have ever been on. The days at sea were probably my favorite because Billy and I would just kick back and relax out on the deck, cool off in the pool and eat, eat and eat. I know I gained at least 20lbs. Its hard to resist 24/7 pizza and ice cream. It was funny when we got home because every now and then we would crave pizza and ice cream and it was so sad when we couldn't just walk a few steps and get it. Our stops on the cruise were Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo. We went snorkeling in Puerto and it was a blast. I was a little nervous to do it at first because I have this weird free of finding out what is swimming below me when I am in the ocean. But it was so beautiful, I could have been out there all day. In Mazatlan we went to a resort hotel and played in the ocean for a good four hours. And in Cabo we went parasailing, which was also a blast. Not as scary as you may think, because it is very calm and you aren't really moving around a whole lot. If you are afraid of heights however I would not recommend it. Anyways it was so much fun to hang out with my new hubby and now we are back to reality. Here is a little slideshow of our honeymoon. Enjoy :)

I can't believe we are finally married! It still has not officially hit me yet. Billy calls me Mrs. Di Sera and I will correct him and say not yet, because I have not changed my name yet so I really am still a Grimshaw. I didn't realize how hard it was going to be for me to give up my last name. Its a little sad. Maybe I will just tell Billy I changed my name and secretly stay a Grimshaw.....he'll never know right? Just kidding, I am happy to be a Di Sera it will just take a little getting used to. So on to the wedding day. It was one of the happiest days of my life. I know everyone says that, but you know it really was. I am very lucky to be with Billy and that he chose me to be his wife. Billy is a one of the kindest men I have ever known. When I met him five years ago I was with a guy who was not very good to me. At the time I didn't know any better because I just assumed thats how men treated women. When Billy came along he showed me how I was supposed to be treated. I love him so much and I am so excited to share the rest of my life with him! I would talk about the wedding day but I am pretty sure that everyone who reads my blog was there so I am not going to go into detail. Here is a link to look at some of our pictures that our photographer posted on her blog. If you would like to see all of them let me know and I will give you the password. There are some good ones of Rachel and Boo dancing!

I am a slacker!

So I have a TON of blog catching up to do. I thought the best thing to start with would be my bridal shower. My good friend Elizabeth threw my a FABULOUS bridal shower. The food, games and company were great. Everyone told me what a great little hostess she was! I got a ton of gifts that were much needed and appreciated. Elizabeth had me put on this apron when I first got there that had a BUNCH of kitchen crap stuffed in the pockets. She told me to greet the guests as they came in and if they asked about the apron make up some lie as to why I was wearing it. Once everyone was there Elizabeth told me to take the apron off. She then told everyone they had to name all the items that were stuffed in the pockets of the apron. It was such a cute idea I thought, and I got a cute apron out of it :)! We also played bridal pictionary and my teamed kicked trash! Thanks again Elizabeth for the great shower and yummy yummy food!
