Granite High fireworks

On July 3 Billy and I tagged along with my brother and my sis-in-law and her family to watch fireworks at Granite High School. When I first asked Billy if he wanted to go, he asked if we needed to bring our guns with us (dork). But surprisingly it was probably one of the best fireworks shows I have seen in a while. Thanks Bryan and Camille for letting us tag along it was a lot of fun. Below are some funny videos I took of Billy playing with our cute niece.

I decided it would be funny to put ice down Billy's pants while he was resting. This is how Billy was lying before he realized it looked like he had butt sweat.

This is after I showed him a picture of his butt sweat lol....

He is such a good sport!

Chalk Art Festival

This last Saturday the "Grimshaw girls" got together, like we have for the past four years, and participated in the Chalk Art Festival at the Gateway mall. This year's creation was probably my favorite and by far the easiest. In the past it has usually taken us 8 or more hours to finish our chalk art but this year I would say it took 4 to 5. This year as well we had the privledge of being featured artists because we won last years competition for "Best use of Medium." My sis-in-law Camille is the one who got us girls involved in this to begin with and is the only true artist. She draws it and we color in the lines. I'm am so glad she asked us all to join her four years ago because it is so much fun to hang out with my family and create something together! Love you girls!
This year we decided to make one of Camille's famous mermaids. She picked me to be her lovely model....lol.

This is what the picture looked like when I first got to the Gateway Saturday morning. Camille and my mom started it Friday.

"OH CRAP!", Billy saw my wedding dress!

So I was in my room checking my email and Billy comes in. He starts looking around and all of the sudden I hear him say "OH CRAP." I looked up from what I was doing and said "What?"

He had this look of panic on his face and said, "I just saw your wedding dress." I look over to the closet where my dress was hanging and saw this..........

I slowly turned my head back to Billy's scared face and said slowly, "Babe, thats not my dress its my slip, it goes under my dress." He walked out of my room all embarrassed as I was yelling, "Do you honestly think I would have bought that for my wedding dress." I couldn't stop laughing so I had to try it on for him so he could see what a beautiful bride I was going to be!

Cute...

I've been meaning to post this video of my niece for a while now but just haven't. She is very much in love with the picture of my nephew Devon on my laptop. Whenever she comes in my room she points at his picture and then points back at herself, which she does when she wants something. Its stinkin cute. Enjoy....

House hunt over....hopefully.

After almost three months or so of house hunting we finally got ourselves a home. We had been mostly looking in the sugarhouse area because we like it so much, but soon found out that the houses were a little small. We did however find one we liked between 2700 s and 3300 s above Highland dr. and put an offer on it, but somebody else beat us to the punch and we lost it. It was really frustrating for a while there because everyone kept saying how bad the market was, but as soon as we found a house someone would swoop in and buy it. BUT finally on Monday we had decided to stop looking in sugarhouse and focus on East Millcreek/Holladay area and SUCCESS. We found one that was perfect. Good size, good area, nice backyard with a view of Mt. Olympus. The house inside needed a little bit of work but we decided that wasn't a big deal because everything else was great. So Wednesday morning we put an offer on it (after Billy had a couple of panic attacks). We thought for sure they were going to come back with a counter offer or once again someone else had put a better offer in than ours. But Wednesday night Billy gave me a call and told me they accepted out first offer!!!! Yeah!!!! We are super excited, and a little nervous at the same time. We close at the end of this month so hopefully everything goes well and when we have the inspections done on Monday we don't find anything major wrong with the house. So here are a couple of pictures of our new place:
