25 random things about me....
I was tagged on facebook and decided since I haven't blogged in awhile this gives me something to blog about. (Thanks for the idea Aubrie)
1. It took me almost five years to get an associates degree. Yes I realize how pathetic that sounds, but I am still proud I got it :)
2. I have never been one to have tons of friends. I prefer to have a few really close friends.
3. I have anxiety. I get nervous before going to the store or really do anything by myself. But I do not let it get in the way and I hide it well.
4. I have a slight obsession with space, it amazes me. I look at Astronomy picture of the day almost everyday to see the awesome pictures: http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/archivepix.html
5. My secret celebrity crush is Kevin Costner, I don't know what it is about him.
6. I have a huge fear that my house will catch fire and I won't be able to get out.
7. I used to sleep in complete silence until I met Billy. Now I can not sleep with out the fan on.
8. I love to watch Soccer games, although I could not tell you the different positions of the players or even tell you when someone goes "offsides"
9. I have two pugs and I cannot stand one of them......sorry Abby :)
10. I ABSOLUTELY hate pickles. I can't stand the smell of them and will not eat any food that has been touched by one.
11. I would love to live in San Francisco one day. But I never will because I could not leave my family and friends.
12. I have a talent for hearing music and being able to name the movie it came from (background music that is)
13. I own more flip flops than I do actual shoes. It's not that I do not like shoes, I just never buy them.
14. My mother is my hero and I hope to be as good as a mother to my future kids as she has been to me.
15. I want to go to Africa
16. I would like to take cooking classes
17. I have always said I don't believe in ghosts, but I watch the ghost hunting shows on TV and get freaked out.
18. I was recently invited to join a book club. I did not finish our first book assignment because I could not stand the book. "The Life Of Pi," sorry if anyone is a fan.
19. I admire the man my husband is, and I love him so much.
20. I am going to be a quarter of a century old this month......weird.
21. I am baby hungry and have to kidnap my niece every now and then to feed that hunger.
22. I love windy days.
23. My favorite colors are purple and green, but I rarely wear anything in those colors.
24. I was a dental assistant for a week and could not stand looking into people's mouths all day so I quit.
25. Every time a dog or some type of animal comes on TV I frantically look around for my dog waiting for her to attack. I do this even when I am not at my house and my dog is no where around. She has made me go crazy.

"You want a Christmas card?....Here's your Christmast card!"
For those of you who never watched Seinfeld you will not get the title to my post....lol. Anyway, I ordered photo Christmas cards this year to mail out to everybody. Well I just got them in the mail today and I was extremely disappointed in the turn out. Rather than sending them out and feeling like I wasted my money I decided to return them and just wait until next year to do them. So Merry Christmas to all my friends and family. I hope you all enjoy this magical time of year!

Merry Christmas!

Polar Express....
My new favorite Christmas movie is "The Polar Express." I LOVE the music in this movie and I just think it represents the true magic of Christmas. Ever since seeing this movie I thought it would be fun to go on the Polar Express train ride up in Heber. We went last friday and it was so much fun! However I don't think it would have been nearly as fun if we didn't have little children with us. My niece was super cute and excited the whole time. When she saw the train she would say "choo choo." At one point in the ride we looked outside to see Santa waving at all of the kids. It was more like a scene from a Halloween movie since Santa was surrounded by a bunch of red glowing lights. Erin was really concerned about Santa being outside and kept saying "Santa side, Santa side?" (side meaning outside). But Santa eventually made it onto the train and gave all the little kids bells. They also served yummy hot chocolate and cookies! We had a blast and I would definitely pay the money to do it again!
Can you tell she is excited?
"Santa side?"
They read the book to us.....

Family fun.....
Yesterday my family thought it would be fun to get together and make gingerbread houses! I have always made gingerbread houses out of graham crackers so I was a little intimidated to make my own gingerbread. It was a bit of a pain to make (because I am a little challenged when it comes to cooking) but it turned out great! My mom and Amy were the only ones that bought the kits from the store....cheaters! Billy was supposed to help me with the house but got distracted when we showed up at Bryan and Camille's and the Jazz game was on TV. So Camille and I partnered up since her gingerbread broke :( Here are the results:
Our creation
Camille made me a Bella out of gum drops, she is even peeing on a tree....sooo tender!
Tricia and Jared made a log cabin
My mom's train
Billy and Bryan watching the Jazz game and Erin giving me her fake smile...lol
There was a moment where our gingerbread house was almost destroyed because the table collapsed, but Camille with her cat like reflex's saved our house! Good times.

The stockings are hung....
I have been super excited to decorate for Christmas this year since this is our first Christmas in our house. I never really got into decorating for it before when I lived in an apartment. Thanksgiving night Billy's parents came over to our house to hang out with us. Peggy and I decorated the Christmas tree that is in our basement family room. It was a lot of fun! We watched "Polar Express" and "The Holiday", we also drank yummy hot chocolate. Thanks again Peggy for your help! The following night I decorated the living room and also rearranged the furniture. I am pretty pleased with the turn out. Billy still needs to decorate his tree and put some new lights on it since some of them don't work...lol. My mom also gave me a bunch of decorations that she had, some of which she made herself (she painted the Santa Clause hanging on my wall). Can I just say I love Christmas time!!!!!
